We caregivers although probably never understanding the real suffering our family member is going through we walk in there shoes.  We bond with people from all over the world who share what becomes another family for us.

We have lost some great new family members but on a whole we have seen the importance of cutting edge technology at this place called UAMS.  We mention to people we are in treatment in Little Rock and the typical answer is why Little Rock and proudly we tell them because it is the number 1 place in the world for treatment of Multiple Myeloma.

My wife who is in complete remission and her Seeds of Hope ceremony was last week and she proudly shows her seed to everyone.  She has been under the care of Dr. Bijay Nair since we arrived in Little Rock in August of 2010.  What a blessing to have found this place called UAMS.

    Nancy and Phil Mason are dear friends of mine.  While Nancy was fighting her battle with cancer, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer which had matatisized.  I became her caregiver.  Throughout our fight  to save my sister, I was constantly concerned and prayed for Nancy.  Glenda, my sister, lost her battle.  I thank God and UMAS that I did not loose two such special people in my life.  I know that no matter how hard you fight, beating cancer is a team effort.  Nancy and Phil always spoke glowingly of all of you.  Thank you for helping save my special friend.

    My wife Nancy Mason continues to be in complete remission from MM and as we approach the end of  the first year of home maintenance we remain very humble that God has blessed our lives.MM is a very hateful diasese it takes no prisoners although at times the lows make it tough but the staff at UAMS are so thoughtful and caring and the new family of friends are priceless.We remain in almost daily contact with many of these friends.It is an unforunate situation that has thrown us all into a lifetime of friendships.My wife remains in the care of Dr. Bijay Nair in little Rock and Dr. Richard Antonucci in Knoxviile,Tenn
